Woofing Woods – Terms & Conditions

• Use at your own risk: You are responsible for your dog(s) and must keep them under control at all times.

• Adverse weather: Please check conditions before travelling and decide whether it is safe to attend. Bookings can only be rescheduled with more than 72 hours’ notice.

• Arrival: Directions and the gate code will be sent with your booking reminder 24 hours beforehand. Do not arrive at the gate before your session starts and never wait or park on the road. Your email will include details of a safe waiting area.

• Entering & parking: Drive into the woodland parking area, close and lock the gate behind you, then park. One vehicle per booking only. No parking outside the gate or on the road.

• Parking is at your own risk. Woofing Woods accepts no liability for vehicle damage, accidents or loss of contents.

• Gate safety: The gate MUST be closed before dogs leave your vehicle or are let off lead and must remain closed throughout your session.

• Session times: Bookings are 50 minutes, starting on the hour (e.g. 12:00–12:50). You must leave, lock the gate and clear the entrance by the end of your booked time.

• 10-minute buffer: The woodland must be completely empty between bookings. This is not extra session time and must not be used to arrive early or leave late.

• Late arrivals: Your booking will still finish at the original end time.

• All breeds welcome: XL Bullies and other exempted dogs must follow the additional rules on our XL Bully Information page in line with DEFRA requirements.

• Maximum 8 dogs per booking unless agreed with us in advance.

• Off-lead exercise: The woodland has approximately 6ft perimeter fencing, but you remain responsible for your dog(s), their safety and recall. Training lines are available to use.

• Check suitability: Customers are responsible for ensuring the woodland, fencing, fence height and facilities are suitable for their dog(s) before use.

• Dogs must never be left unattended. You must remain aware of their whereabouts and behaviour throughout your visit.

• Positive handling only: Aggressive, negative or inappropriate handling of dogs is strictly prohibited. Anyone seen doing so will be asked to leave, future bookings may be cancelled and no refund will be given.

• Equipment: Dog equipment is for dogs only. People must not climb equipment, walls or trees. Please do not move equipment or allow dogs to climb the walls.

• Woodland hazards: This is a natural woodland with uneven ground, exposed roots and the possibility of falling sticks or branches. Use is at your own risk and Woofing Woods accepts no liability for trips, falls or resulting damage.

• Health: Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations/titre tests and appropriate flea and worming treatments. If your dog is unwell, has sickness/diarrhoea or shows signs of kennel cough, please contact us to rearrange.

• Clean up: Pick up all dog waste and use the bins provided. Please take all other rubbish home.

• Strictly prohibited: No BBQs, fires, smoking, glass bottles, rope swings, tree climbing or damage to trees.

• Countryside location: Please be aware that livestock may be present in neighbouring fields.

• CCTV: Cameras monitor the entrance for safety, security and booking times. Misuse of the woodland or failure to follow these rules may result in future access being refused.

• Closures: Woofing Woods may close the woodland at short notice for safety, maintenance, storm damage, fence repairs or other necessary reasons. Affected customers will be contacted.

• Payment: Bookings must be paid for online. Payment confirms your booking and your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

• Cancellations: We do not offer refunds. A booking may be moved once to another date/time when more than 72 hours’ notice is given.

• Office hours: Monday–Friday 9am–5pm and Saturday 9am–12pm. Messages outside these hours will be answered as soon as possible.

• Rule breaches: Woofing Woods reserves the right to refuse or withdraw use of the facility where these Terms & Conditions are not followed. Depending on the circumstances, advance payments may be refunded, but we accept no liability for other costs or losses.

• Call-outs: Where a call-out is required due to customer error, such as gate damage or incorrect padlock use, the customer may be charged for the call-out.

• Private hire only: Woofing Woods operates by advance booking only.

• Professional use: Professional dog trainers must contact us before booking. Professional dog walkers must select the appropriate business-use option when booking.

• Important: Failure to follow parking, gate, timing or safety rules may result in immediate removal and/or a ban from future use.
